Raymond Hill School
Childhood is a time of learning and growth. The Raymond Hill School’s tapestry of programs brings the joy of discovery to children of all ages.
The people we serve:
- Elementary, middle school, and high school students.
- Students in need of specialized services, delivered in an environment of safety and caring.
- Students of all races and ethnic backgrounds.
- Parents of our students.
How the program works:
- Our curriculum is certified by the Connecticut Department of Education.
- Our teachers are fully certified in their subject areas.
- Teachers receive support from para-professionals to assure a safe, nurturing environment.
- Students take traditional academic subjects, but also receive pre-vocational and vocational training.
- Students take classes in music, art, and physical education, and have access to a state-of-the-art computer lab.
- Elementary and middle-school students learn essential “living” skills and how to work in teams.
- Elementary students learn practical skills in our Maritime Center.
- Middle-school students can sample what it’s like to work in Culinary Program and Woodworking Shop.
- High-school students have additional opportunities to work in our Culinary Proram, Woodworking Shop, Graphic Art program and Music Studio.
- Group therapy is an integral part of the program.
- Therapists and consulting psychiatrists are available to provide needed clinical services.
